Big Mac, That's why I got to go to the gym every day for an hour.
All that good food and drink and then to still look good for the pretty women.
i mean there are some great debates running on this forum :-.
what is spirit exactly?.
what is love?.

just to point out that there is no difference between those who are in an organization or church and those who are not.
it rains on us all.
the mistake some make is to think some people are more righteous than others.
I like cruising Barna surveys, which make it clear that self-professed evangelicals live the same as their "worldly" contemporaries.
It makes one wonder, what difference does a profession of faith make?
The way I see it, God made Balams ass talk.
If the preachers didnt preach God would make the stones cry out or so the scriptures say.
All the preachers I know were super hypocrites and i knew a lot from working at the county jail
and life in general.
But to those who much is given, much is expected and each person has to work out theri
own salvation.
From the preachers I knew, it was like they viewed it as a job.
I'm not saying that is good or bad. It is just the way it is.
Of course there are some that are very spiritual, whatever that means.
just to point out that there is no difference between those who are in an organization or church and those who are not.

The bible says God makes no distinction.
Atheist use that argument as one of many in support of their beliefs.
on the basis that most of us realise the w.t wasnt really the best " job" or way to spend our days, it would be fun to find out what people would really have liked to have done with there lifes and if this is still possible.
or maybe its not even a very realistic ambition just a dream.
in my dreams i stay at home all day and make a living from being a professional artist.maybe i need a phycholgist?.
James Brown that was a really interesting read. I have had beers with Mike Estes ex guitarist of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Gilbey Clarke ex guitarist of Guns and Roses. Both were very friendly and humble but as Gilbey said to me " ive never had a big pay check".
New Hope and Hppiness
Artimus Pyle Skynrds drummer does drum clinincs here at the local music store.
So does Carmen Appice.
I know they arent making a lot of money doing these.
The rock stars that do well ran their careers as a business
and their fincances as a business and invested well.
I know one sideman from a big act from the 80's and 90's
that made 30,000$ a year for living on the road.
and directing the band, as well as playing bass guitar in the band.
After the band leader died, he talked about how little money he had and
how he was considering going to school to learn computer programing.
A lot of rock stars can become rock stars because they were rich to begin with
and they could take the time and money to promote their carrer.
Kid Rock and Adam Levine were both well off/ rich before they started.
Neil Young who is very successful and invested well, He owns 20% of Lionel trains,
always said "dont quit your day job"
He has 39 albums.
i mean there are some great debates running on this forum :-.

You should enjoy yourself, every minute of your life.
And when you figure out how to do it.
Watch out because you will piss off a lot of people around you.

I'm 62 and retired now for 2 years.
It was rough but I made it. And then again compared to some it was a cake walk.
When I was young, I had ambition and energy.
Now that I am retired, I don't have any ambition and it is hard to muster the energy.
I retired as a detention officer in the county jail.
I got a retirement and had good benefits while I worked but it was a demandng job
requiring a lot of hours and stifled my avocation, my extracuricular activities.
I would say for the amount of energy 2 years of college, I put into it. Being a civil servant
for the state was a good job.
But I wish I would have gotten a 4 year degree out of high school and become a school
teacher.
I would have had more time to pursue my avocation of music.
School teachers get the summer off and are home at nights and on the weekends.
All time I could have pursued music.
During my life, I was a rock star of sorts.
I played music in bars and festivities on the weekends.
I had people ask me and my band mates for our autographs
I had lots of girls women flash us in front of the stage.
To just have been a straight rock star,
is a risky proposition.
You have to have a lot of luck and some talent.
If your not the top bannana, the head honcho, the Robert Plant, Jimmy Page of
the group, you don't necessarily end up all that well at the end.
I know a rock star with a national hit from the 70's who lives in his car.
I know because I replaced him in a band. And his car was falling apart.
Florida is home to many, many rock stars and most of them don't live any better than I.
I know where they live, I have seen their homes.
It is kind of anticlimatic.
I'm talking about 2nd teir rockstars.
2nd tier is every body below the Beatles and the Stones.
Then again maybe I live pretty well here in Florida.
I had a good life.
If I could have tweaked it, I would have been a school teacher and
made just a little more music.
But I get to make music every day.
Now that I am retired and I do.
I started my life wanting to be a fireman.
I took a lot of test and went all the way through
the process with St Petersburgh.
And at the last minute they said we have budget restrictions
with the fire department.
We are going to make you a policeman.
So I spent my life in law enforcement.
Being a fireman would have given me more time off to play music.
At least I thought so.
Firemen work 1 day and are off 2 So every other day you have a weekend.
Plus they get paid to sleep.
When I was young and applied for the fire department.
Firemen fought fires, so there wasnt much to do.
Nowadays, firemen are heart attack specialist and emergency responders to health crisis
in big trucks with ladders.
The job doesnt seem so appealing today.
I still pursue music and hopefully someday, I will find the lost chord.
Or make another Dark side of the moon album.
Every day, I try to write one song.
Everyday I turn on the recorder and record.
I wish I could make paragraphs on this site.
i am not much of a reader as i have two many distractions, but i fancy a challenging read, so please list any book that has changed your entire world view on everything.
i remember as a teenager buying at a yard sale, norman vincent peales " the power of positive thinking" and at the time that had a big impact on me.
but i am a little bit more in to " realistic positive thinking" now..
On the Way out are you saying that you are Alan Miller who wrote Fade From the Truth on Amzon?

"Slave Species of God" by Michael Tillinger.
Of All the 100's of books on my shelf that is the second most precious.
It has been about 6 years since I read it.
I will have to go back and re read it and see if it still has it.
Oh yeah, For better or for worse I will have to say the Bible is number 1.
It is a mixed bag but it has some gems. It got me this far for better or for worse.
The books of Proverbs, Ecclesiasses and Psalm are full of gems and wisdom.
if we have faith in science and scientific claims about the universe, origins of life etc.
is that absolute truth.
if so then if they declare that god exists with evidence then do all those who believe in science then believe in god or a creator.
Thank you, Cofty.
